Sonoma Day 1

This weekend we flew down to visit my Brother and his fiancée Jessica in Sonoma and go to the Coug game in San Francisco.

We left Thursday evening and after a VERY STRESSFUL flight etc we arrived at Drew and Jess’s apartment around 10pm. The next morning my parents arrived with Andrew and Jessica’s new addition, a pug puppy named Remington. My kids ( Ryan and I) were instantly smitten and we spent most of the morning loving on that cute little puppy!

Seriously?! Is he cute or what. On a side note they got him from the same breeder that we got Angus from- so now Angus has a cousin. Smile

While the kiddos napped Ryan, Dad, Andrew and I went to a winery (Images) for a tastings. Then that afternoon our personal concierge for the weekend, Andrew, set up a tour and tasting at the Benzinger Winery. We went on a tractor tour of the winery, and the weather and fall colors were amazing. This is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!

We went into the cave where they store the wine, each on of these barrels is custom built and smoked, so much time and effort!

After the winery, we stopped by the Fairmont Golf Club where Jessica and Andrew will getting married. The ceremony will be under this amazing oak tree- so perfect!

After seeing the wedding site, Jessica had arranged for my and I to go to the spa at the Sonoma Fairmont (where she works) to do the bathing ritual. So we ditched the boys with the kids and went to the SPA! So- so fun. The bathing ritual is essential natural mineral springs in the spa, and you go from pool to pool (all different temps) then go in a sauna at the last. It was so relaxing after traveling and going all day. We even got treated to a glass of champange!
