We’ve been enjoying the fall weather around here by getting outside as much as we can while the air is crisp, not freezing. One of our favorite places is the “Castle Park” here in Hermiston. Here are the pictures from our latest venture

A Visit to the Farm
The last few years my parents have grown pumpkins for the kids, so we headed out to the farm Monday night for some Grammie and Grandpa time.
We started with a little movie night. Dad made popcorn and we all sat down to watch The Lion King. The kids are completely enamored with Grandpa’s popcorn!
The next day was beautiful so we took out the wagon and headed to the pumpkin patch.
And the trampoline..
Then, Dad and I made the trek to the top of the Grain tanks (courtesy of the new improved stairs). It was so pretty up there- wish I knew how to really take pictures!
We finished out the day making cookies (aka eating frosting) then I loaded two very tired kiddos up and headed home.

Good Book
Finally, I stumbled on a great book! It is about writer who writes historical fiction. The book switches back and forth between her life and the life of the heroine in her novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Preschool Pumpkin Patch
Friday, Delaney’s preschool went to the pumpkin patch, and I got to go! Trina came down and watched Colt so I could go have a morning with my Laney bug.

With her pumpkin..
… and with the whole class and their teachers Mrs. Gayl and Mrs Janette.
I had a great time, and was once again grateful that I DON’T teach little kids as a profession- they are complete chaos!
Laney is still enjoying preschool, and her teacher is great. She even braved a preschool field trip with a newly broken arm! I loved getting to see her in a different environment, she was so attentive and did everything that was asked (where’s that at home?) even though she did shush a kid during story time (wonder where she got that one?!)
Pumpkin Patch 2011
Last Sunday the Wieseler’s came down to our house and we took the kiddos to the pumpkin patch, then came back home and carved them. It’s always so fun to have my house full of people and kids around the holidays! I love this time of year- fall is definitely my favorite season.
