Priest Lake 2012- Week 2

This was our second year at Priest Lake with our friends from dental school. We had a wonderful time again, my kids loved having friends to play with (so did Ryan and I)!

I’m always impressed that everyone makes the drive and effort to get there- Ryan and Lindsey even flew in from Alaska! It was the year of the babies, with little Harper and Lindsey and I both expecting.

Delaney and Hallie also found a frog and kept him as a pet. I think they “loved” on him a little too much because he didn’t survive the attention. When they discovered that he wasn’t moving- they tried to perform CPR using an air pump. Let’s just say that didn’t revive poor little kermit.

… so we had a little funeral ceremony!

It was another beautiful year at the lake- we were all sad to come home!

Priest Lake 2012- Week 1

DSC02924

We were lucky enough to spend two weeks at the lake again this year! We had wonderful weather again- and the kids had a blast. It was the first year that Andrew and Jessica couldn’t make it- and we missed them tons! (You guys better be there next year!!)

The first week the kids and I went up to Hills and spent the week with my mom and dad. Laney and Colton couldn’t get enough of the beach, they played and played and played in the sand and water.

They wore Grandpa out demanding kayak rides!

And Delaney spent hours on her sand castle.

DSC02884

We also managed to fit in movies, water fights and lots of Huckleberry milkshakes!

My cousin George, who is also Colton’s God-father came up and stayed for a few days, and my kids couldn’t get enough playing with him. Colton made his pitch the ball for hours!

We even found a frog this year!

Lots of fun!

Hermiston Fair

We had another busy, fun fair week this year. It started on Wednesday with Delaney’s first dance performance.

DSC02793

They had been practicing all summer and they all did a great job. All those little girls in tutu’s were adorable!

DSC02810DSC02813

After her dance we decided to check out the animals- and this hungry sheep decided Laneys tutu looked appetizing and I had to reach halfway down it’s throat to get her skirt free. From that moment on Delaney was extra careful to stay in the middle of the aisle in the sheep barn!

Then it was pony rides, and the petting zoo.

… And my personal favorite- snow cones!

DSC02840

Thursday we spent the day with The Perkins-and these two girlies were in heaven!

DSC02848

And finally, on Friday Fran and Jake and the kids came down and we all watched the rodeo together! Fun times!

Here we go…

baby

Yep- it looks like we are no longer going to be able to play man-to-man defense.

The third (and final) addition to the Wieseler family is on the way. My due date is February 15th, a little too close to Colton’s birthday for my taste so I’m hoping he or she will come a little early!

We are pretty excited, Delaney especially! It’s been a rough few months for me this time around, this baby and my stomach can’t seem to get along so I’ve spent WAY too much time hugging the toilet. I’m really hoping that it eases up in the next few weeks. Say a prayer for me- green’s not my best color!

Laney’s 5!

I can’t quite believe that this little lady is turning 5! We celebrated her birthday a little early- and she was one happy little girl. The birthday fairy stayed up REALLY late decorating (barbie themed party, which caused her mother a little pain)

We let her open her present from us in the morning, then she quickly disappeared to play with her new treasure, far away from her pesky little brother!

DSC02749DSC02752

Then it was party time- we had a full house and she was in heaven!

DSC02756

She even let her brother help her open her presents!

DSC02761

Then it was cake time!

I think the cake was the highlight of the party for these two!

Happy Birthday Laney-Bug!

Harvest 2012

Harvest time is here again! The kids and I made it out to the farm to make sure Grandpa was doing it properly Smile. We had a great time, driving combine and swimming.

DSC02705

We started the day out with the old bucket tractor at the moble home.

DSC02681

Colton, in particular, took tractor driving seriously. Here he is tell me to “backup” and leave him alone!
DSC02690DSC02708

Colt was first up on the combine, and made it about 5 minutes before falling asleep on the job.

DSC02717DSC02721

This little lady took her job more seriously.

DSC02723

She was concentrating so hard on driving- it was adorable!

DSC02732DSC02737

It was such a fun day- and they both were fast asleep for the drive home!
